Description
Multiplying single-digit numbers is one of the biggest math milestones of third grade. Once students know their facts from 1 to 9 by heart, they can solve story problems, find area, and start dividing with confidence. This matching single digit multiplication worksheet turns fact practice into a quick, hands-on puzzle that kids can check as they go.
The worksheet starts with six multiplication facts, each in a bright blue pill. Students solve each fact and draw a line to its product in the column on the right. The products are mixed up, so children have to work out every answer instead of guessing by position. Next, they read three puppy-themed story problems about dog beds, puppy food and treats, then write each answer in a box. The last problem takes two steps: multiply first, then add. Use it as morning work, a math center, homework or a quick check after a lesson on multiplication facts.
