Description
This South Dakota word search worksheet takes 3rd grade students on a fun trip to the Mount Rushmore State. Children hunt for six key South Dakota words in a letter puzzle, then use those same words to finish short fact sentences about the state. It is a simple way to build state knowledge, vocabulary and careful reading all at once.
Kids start with Part A. They read the six words in the word box and find each one hidden in the grid, going across, down or on a slant. In Part B, they read six clues about South Dakota and write the matching box word on each line. The clues cover the state capital, a famous mountain, a dry land of striped rocks, the state tree, the state fish and the state bird.
