Comparing numbers is one of the first big place value skills in 1st grade. Students learn that a two digit number is made of tens and ones, and that the tens digit tells you the most about how big a number is. This two digit numbers more or less worksheet gives young learners focused practice deciding which number is more, which is less, and when two numbers are exactly the same.
The page is short, clear and easy to follow. In Part A, students look at ten pairs of two digit numbers and write the greater than, less than or equal to symbol in the box between them. In Part B, they read three numbers and write them in order in the boxes, starting with the largest.
