Using More Fewer Activity, studentscompare sets of more and less and feed your hippo to build their number sense skills.
Help kids master comparing numbers with the Greater Than Less Than Inequalities Song by Have Fun Teaching. This fun, educational song teaches the concept of greater than, less than, and equal to, making math easy and enjoyable for young learners.
Being able to determine groups that have more or less will help your students as they buy groceries or make candy bags for a party. This activity will give them practice comparing numbers.
Two players select a deck of cards to play with. Mix and match different fruit decks for more of a challenge. On the Hungry Hippo Mat each player flips over a card. The player with more fruit collects the card on their mat and feed their hippo! If cards are the same, discard that round and flip again. The player to feed their hippo with the most cards wins!
