How HFT Classroom works
HFT Classroom is where you assign Interactive resources online to your students and see how each one did. Students sign in once with their own link — no emails, no passwords.
No student emails · No passwords · Nothing to install
What is Interactive?
Resources your students do on a screen
Interactive resources check every answer, so students know right away — and you don’t grade a thing. They work on Chromebooks, tablets, computers and interactive whiteboards.
Interactive Worksheets
The worksheet you know, on a screen. Students type their answers, it checks each one and reads the directions aloud.
Test Prep Workbooks
A whole state test prep workbook. Assign one part at a time as Practice or as a Test, and see which skills to reteach.
Learning Games
Students play the game to the end, and you see that they finished and how they scored.
How it works
Four steps. Ready in minutes.
Open it from My Account → Classroom. A checklist on each class ticks off the steps as you go.
Make a class
Paste your class list, upload a file, or just enter how many. Every student gets a number, a picture and their own sign-in link.
Sign in once
Students scan their own code from the board or a printed page. On their own device they stay signed in all year.
Assign
Pick an Interactive resource for all your classes, one class, or just the students who need it. Add a due date if you like.
See results
Every score, every missed skill, and what to reteach — the moment students turn it in.
Step 2, made easy
Four ways to get everyone signed in
Use one, or mix them. Each student signs in one time — the ✓ next to their name shows who’s in.
Show on board
Every student’s card on your screen. They find their name and scan their code. Click a student to make it big — when they’re in, the board cheers and moves to the next student.
Print sign-in cards
One card per page with each student’s picture, name, number, code and three easy steps. For handing out on paper — no cutting.
Send links home
Copy all links into your parent messages — email, ClassDojo, Remind… — or a private comment to each student in Google Classroom. Online, always send the link.
Type a code
Students can go to www.havefunteaching.com/go/ and type their 10-letter code.
Assign & see results
Know exactly who needs what
Click “Assign in HFT Classroom” on any Interactive resource, or find one in Classroom → Assignments. Students see it under Today’s work.
Practice or Test
Practice gives feedback as they go. Test waits until they turn it in. For workbooks, choose the parts too.
Every student, every skill
See each score, the answers, and which skills were missed — for the class and for each student.
Reteach in one click
For workbooks, Reteach assigns practice on those skills to just the students who need it. Download results anytime as a CSV.
Works with Google Classroom
Post to Google Classroom in one tap
Already use Google Classroom? After you assign something in HFT Classroom, tap “Post to Google Classroom.” Have Fun Teaching creates the assignment in the Google Classroom classes you pick — with the title, your directions, the due date and the link to your class page.
Assign in HFT Classroom
Pick the resource, the students and the dates, just like always.
Allow Google once
Tap “Post to Google Classroom.” The first time, Google asks you to let Have Fun Teaching see your class list and create assignments.
Pick your classes
Tick one or more Google Classroom classes and tap Post — or save it as a draft. It shows up in Google Classroom right away, or on the day you scheduled.
Students tap the link
They sign in the usual way (number, then picture) and do the work. Scores and skills show in your HFT Classroom results.
What Google access is used for: we only read the list of Google Classroom classes you teach and create the assignment you ask for. We save which class each assignment was posted to — never your Google password or access token, and never your students’ names, emails or work from Google. You can remove our access anytime at myaccount.google.com/connections. Details in our Privacy Policy.

Quick answers
Good to know
A student lost their link or has a new device.
Show their card on the board (or print their sign-in card) and let them scan it again. Their work is saved.
A link was shared with someone else.
Click the student’s code → New link. The old link and code stop working right away, and the student is signed out everywhere.
What if students share devices?
In Class settings, choose “No, they share devices.” Students then sign in each time and are signed out after 45 minutes without use.
A new student joins mid-year.
Type their name in “Add a student” under your Students list, or click “+ Add students” for several.
Two students have the same name.
Names are saved as a first name and last initial. If two would look the same, we add one more letter (Maya Jo. and Maya Ja.) — and every student has their own number too.
How many students and classes?
Up to 30 students per class and 5 classes. Need more? Use the “Need more room?” button in HFT Classroom and we can raise it.
What happens on August 1?
Every class, student and result is deleted so each school year starts fresh. We email you a reminder in July to download your results.
What can I assign?
Any Interactive resource: Interactive Worksheets, Interactive test prep workbooks and learning games — with more added all the time. Look for “Interactive” on a resource, or filter by Format → Interactive.
Does it work with Google Classroom?
Yes. After you assign, tap “Post to Google Classroom” and pick your Google Classroom classes. We post the assignment with its link and due date; students tap the link and sign in the usual way. Results stay in your HFT Classroom.
I bought one Interactive resource. Do I need HFT Classroom?
No. Open My Account → Downloads and click “Copy student link” to share it with your students. HFT Classroom — classes, assigning and results — comes with a membership.
