In this 4.OA.2 Fourth Grade Common Core Lesson, students write a multiplication sentence that matches a multiplicative comparison word problem.
This lesson teaches students how to represent a multiplication comparison word problem with an equation. This lesson is perfect for small group, math centers or independent practice.
First, read the word problem on the card. Then, write an equation that matches the problem. Next, find the card that matches the equation you wrote. Finally, continue practicing with the provided worksheets.
