The Collecting Coins Reading Comprehension Worksheet turns an everyday handful of change into a reading lesson. Students read an original nonfiction passage about the hobby of coin collecting, then answer questions that send them back into the text for evidence. The passage explains what a magnifying glass shows on a plain quarter, where a first collection usually comes from, how a mint mark names the plant that struck a coin, why a collector never cleans a coin, and why the number of coins made matters more than the age printed on them.
This 5th grade reading comprehension worksheet runs the passage across two full pages, so students build real reading stamina before the questions begin.
