This colorado worksheet helps 3rd grade students learn about the Centennial State while they practice reading for facts. Kids read about where Colorado sits in the United States, why it joined the country in 1876 with a special nickname, and how the tall Rocky Mountains in the west are so different from the flat plains in the east.
Students first read a short non-fiction passage about Colorado.
