How to teach Inequalities
In this Dealing Decimals Activity, students compare two decimals to hundredths by reasoning about their size. Students should recognize that comparisons are only valid when the two decimals refer to the same whole. Students will compare two decimals by playing WAR!

This Dealing Decimals Activity teaches students how to compare decimals using comparison symbols like >, < and =. This lesson is perfect for small groups, math centers, or independent practice.
To use this Dealing Decimals ctivity, players begin by dealing out all of the decimal cards. At the same time, players flip over the top card. Then, the player that puts down the largest number wins! If the numbers are EQUAL, it’s WAR! Finally, continue practicing with the included activity sheet.
