How to teach Shapes

Using K.G.2 Kindergarten Common Core Lesson, students name and sort shapes on cards to learn shape names and attributes.

Your students need a lot of practice learning about shapes. This activity is perfect for early finishers or a math center! All you have to do is set it up in a pocket chart.

Students sort shapes into categories regardless of color, orientation, or overall size. Students then add new examples to each category.
