Description
This ordering planets worksheet helps second graders learn the order of the eight planets in our solar system. Starting at the Sun, children put Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune in the right order. Knowing the planet order gives kids a simple map of our neighborhood in space and a strong start for later science lessons.
On the worksheet, students see eight colorful planet cards printed out of order. They write the numbers 1 to 8 in the boxes to show each planet’s place from the Sun. Then they use the order they made to answer three short questions, such as which planet is closest to the Sun.
