Description
This Oregon word search worksheet helps 3rd grade students learn key facts about the Beaver State while they practice spelling and careful reading. Kids hunt for six Oregon words, from the capital city of Salem to the snowy peak of Mount Hood, and then put each word to work in a sentence.
The page has two parts. In Part A, students find and circle six box words hidden across, down and on the diagonal in an 11 by 11 letter grid. In Part B, they write the Oregon word from the box that matches each clue, such as the state tree, the state fruit and the deep blue lake that fills an old volcano. Use it as a morning warm-up, a states unit activity, a center, or quiet homework.
