Oregon sits in the Pacific Northwest, where the land runs from ocean beaches to snowy mountain peaks. This welcome to Oregon reading comprehension worksheet introduces third graders to the Beaver State through an original nonfiction passage written at a 3rd grade reading level. Students learn about the state capital, the pioneers who traveled the Oregon Trail, the Cascade Range, Crater Lake, the hazelnut farms and the rocky coast with its tall sea stacks.
