How to teach Prefixes and Suffixes
Using Prefixes and Suffixes Sorting Activity, students sort prefix and suffix cards into appropriate categories to build their vocabulary.
If your students know root words, they will be able to read many other words. This activity teaches students to look for prefixes and suffices to figure out the meanings of words.
Cut the prefix and suffix cards for students to sort prefixes and suffixes into appropriate categories. Students then can practice using examples in their own sentences.
