How to teach Short Vowels
Using this Short Vowels Sorting Worksheet, students sort out the words into the correct short vowel sound category.
Short vowels can be found in many of the words that your students read on a daily basis. In order to complete this worksheet, your students must be able to read each word aloud and then decide which vowel sound is being used.
Sort the words with short vowel sounds into the proper categories. Some may fit into more than one place. Some may have long vowels as well, so be sure to think about only the short vowel sounds.
