About this resource
Description
Shape names are some of the first math words children learn, and they use them in every grade. These shapes flash cards give young learners a bright, simple way to see a shape and say its name. Each card shows one shape on the front and its name on the back, so children can quiz themselves and check their own answers. The set covers 13 flat 2-D shapes and 5 solid 3-D shapes, from circle and square all the way to parallelogram and pyramid.
The pack has 18 fold-over cards on six sheets. Print the sheets on one side of the paper, fold each sheet in half on the center line, and cut on the dashed lines. Every card stays joined at the fold, with the colorful shape on one side and the word on the other. Show the shape side, ask children to name it, then flip the card to check. The cards work well for whole-group drills, a math center, a word wall, small-group review, or practice at home. A Kindergarten practice page and a full answer key are included.
