In this lesson, students will partition circles and squares into two, three, or four equal shares.

Mix the Fraction Activity Picture Cards into a pile. Draw a Picture Card. Each player must use their Pizza Worksheet to draw the fraction shown on the Picture Card. The first student to successfully draw the fraction on their Pizza Worksheet gets a Pizza Reward Card for that fraction.

Next, ask students to show you how you would make halves, thirds, and fourths on this pizza. Before distributing to students, review tips to draw equal parts. Then, distribute pizza worksheet and cards for student practice. As students play the game, listen for students that are using key vocabulary to recognize after the games are over.
