In this 3.MD.2 Third Grade Common Core Lesson, students measure and estimate masses of objects using grams, kilograms and liters.
This lesson teaches students how to choose the best unit of measurement (gram, kilogram, or liter) for different objects. This lesson is perfect for small group, math centers or independent practice.
First, match key measurement vocabulary words to it’s definition. Then, play “Water We Measuring?” with a partner. Continue your practice of choosing the best unit for measurement with the provided worksheet.
