In this 3.OA.7 Third Grade Common Core Lesson, students determine the unknown whole number in a multiplication or division equation relating three whole numbers.
This lesson teaches students how to find the unknown number in a multiplication equation using division.
First, solve the to find the missing whole number. Then, place the number card in the blank provided. Next, look for similarities between the multiplication and division equations. Think about what you notice about the relationships between the two. Finally, continue your practice using the provided worksheet individually or with a partner.
