Description
This adding story details worksheet helps kindergarten students tell about a real moment from their own lives and then add details with a drawing. Young children often say a story in just a few words, so this page gives them a simple routine: talk about it, draw it, and look again to see who, where, and what feelings the picture shows.
First, children tell a friend or partner about a time they had a big surprise. Next, they draw that moment in the large My Picture box. Then they check the boxes for the details their picture includes: who was there, where it happened, and how they felt. Last, they finish the sentence frame “This is a picture of” on two wide writing lines. Every response is the child’s own, so the page is a single sheet that is easy to use in a writing center, a small group, or at home.
