Description
Learning about explorers helps students see how people from many countries mapped new lands and changed the way the world was understood. This explorers worksheet asks 4th graders to research five famous explorers and record where each one came from and what he is best known for.
Students look up Henry Hudson, Samuel de Champlain, Sir Francis Drake, Amerigo Vespucci, and John Cabot in a library book or on a safe website. For each explorer, they write the home country on one line and explain his most important voyage or discovery on two more lines. The clean card layout keeps each explorer’s notes together, so the finished page doubles as a study guide.
