How to teach Parts of a Flower
Using Parts of a Flower Activity, students can use this to learn about the parts of a flower and the sequence of a flower’s growth.
Knowing the different parts of a plant will help your students understand how honey is made and to be a good gardener. This activity helps them learn the different parts of a plant.
There are three activities that will help your students learn more about plants.
Sequencing Activity:Use the five sequencing cards and put them in order starting with planting a seed to a flower being grown. After sequencing, draw the sequence on the worksheet provided.
Roll-a-Flower:Become familiar with the parts of a flower by rolling a die and building a flower. Use the “Roll-a-Flower” dice poster as the guide. Each person gets a Roll-A-Flower mat and flower parts. Roll the die, and after landing on a number, place the corresponding flower part on your mat. Race a partner to see who can build a full flower the quickest.
Label-a-Flower:Label the flower using the label mat and word cards. Then, draw your own flower and label its parts on the worksheet provided.
