Introduce this activity by writing an example of an incomplete thought on the board like “is running”. Have students try to tell you what is going on. Next, ask students to rewrite the sentence to complete the sentence to tell you who is running. Then, have students complete the activity independently or with a partner. Finally, students practice reading the sentences out loud.
