Using this Three Amigos Poetry Drama Prose Activity, students sort the word cards by genre (prose, poetry, and drama). Use the sorted cards to label and fill out a Venn Diagram.
This activity is differentiated to support all learners. Use the color-coded activity cards and organizers for your beginners. The blue activity cards and black and white organizers provide a challenge for your advanced learners.
This activity helps your students distinguish the major differences between structural elements in poetry, drama, and prose. Poetry, prose, and drama can be difficult genres for students to grasp. This activity can make learning the concept fun, engaging, and memorable.
