True Math Sentences Worksheet

The equal sign is one of the most misread symbols in elementary math: children learn to see it as “the answer comes next” instead of “both sides are worth the same.” The True Math Sentences Worksheet fixes that idea head on. Third graders look at number sentences with an operation on each side, work out what each side is worth, and decide what has to be true for the two sides to balance.
