This Vermont worksheet takes 3rd grade students on a short trip to the Green Mountain State. Kids learn where Vermont sits in New England, when it joined the country, how the Green Mountains gave the state its name, and how farmers turn maple sap into sweet syrup. Every answer comes straight from the reading, so students practice finding facts in a text while they learn about a new state.
