Using Contributions to the Text Activity, students explain how
the information contributes to an understanding of the text in which it
appears.
When your students first begin to read, they need to rely on the pictures to help them understand the story being told. This activity pushes them to explain how text features help them understand what they have read better.
Students will read a text of their choice and example how the text feature contributes to their understanding of the text.
