About This Worksheet
Students read a 758-word nonfiction passage about dressing up for the camera. The text explains why early studios kept trunks of borrowed clothes, how a costume and a prop can tell a story without words, how a silly hat helps a nervous person relax, why color and a gray backdrop matter, how shiny costumes cause glare, and why museums and theater groups take costume photos. Students then answer four multiple-choice questions and write a two-part constructed response using details from the text. Have students read both passage pages first, then complete the questions page on their own or with a partner.
