Learning how to solve a problem is one of the first big life skills a child practices at school. Little problems come up all day long: a box of crayons tips over, a page in a favorite book tears, or a friend ends up standing on the playground with nobody to play with. This How to Solve a Problem Worksheet gives kindergarten students a calm, friendly place to stop, look at a problem, and choose a kind and helpful way to fix it. Instead of guessing, children compare three real choices and decide which one actually makes the problem better.
This kindergarten problem solving worksheet is built in two parts, so it works for a whole-group lesson or for independent practice. In Part A, students look at three colorful pictures and fill in the bubble beside the best solution for each one.
