Shapes are everywhere, and young learners need to know the difference between a flat shape and a solid one. This Know Your Shapes Worksheet helps 1st grade students sort 2D shapes from 3D shapes and learn the names of four common solid figures: the cube, cone, cylinder, and sphere.
In the first part of the know your shapes worksheet, students look at eight shapes and color every flat 2D shape blue and every solid 3D shape red. In the second part, they use a word box to write the name of each solid shape.
