This Watching Cartoons Reading Comprehension Worksheet gives 2nd grade readers a short informational passage that explains the idea in kid-friendly words: a cartoon is really many still pictures, called frames, shown very fast.
About This Worksheet
Students read a 167-word passage about how artists draw each frame just a tiny bit different from the one before, and how our eyes blend the frames together so a ball seems to bounce. The passage ends with a simple flip book test that children can try at home or in class. A cozy watercolour picture of a desk, an open notepad, and colored pencils sits above the text. On the next page, students answer four multiple choice questions and write a two-part answer that uses evidence from the text.
