Description
How to teach Suffix
Using Word Endings S, ED, ING Center, students glue the root words and endings onto colored construction paper.
Suffixes are parts of words added to the ends of other words (the root
word). For some verbs, you add ED, S, and ING to the end to change the word’s tense. This center gives students practice adding word ending to root words.
Read the sentences. Next, add ED, S, and ING. Then, students write sentences using the new words.
