Adding three is a small, friendly step up from adding one and two, and this adding three using pictures worksheet gives Kindergarten students a picture to count for every problem. Each card shows a group of objects, then three more objects set a little apart, and the child counts the whole row to find the sum. The gap between the two groups is what turns counting into adding: the child keeps the first number in mind, counts on three more, and says how many there are in all.
This kindergarten addition worksheet is a two-page printable with seven problems. The first three are picture problems built on rows of shiny apples, sprinkled donuts and striped play balls, each with three more added at the end.
