How to teach Beginning Sounds
Using the Beginning Sounds CR, DR, BR Worksheet, students use the pictures to determine which beginning sound begins the word.

This worksheet asks students to use the picture to create a word that begins with CR, DR, or BR.

Introduce this worksheet by using a Blank Bingo Board playing Blend Bingo. Have students create their own board by writing DR, BR, or CR as many times as they’d like. Then, say words that begin with those digraphs. Stop playing once 2-3 students get BINGO!With your students, create a list of words that begin with DR, BR, or CR. Then, students complete the worksheet independently or with a partner. Have students come up with additional words from your classroom to add to their list of DR, BR, or CR.
