How to teach Beginning Consonants
Using the Blends Mini Book Activity, students create mini books about blends to practice using words with beginning blends in sentences.
Being able to identify the beginning blends helps students read and write words. This activity gives them practice using common words that they will encounter in their reading.
Studentscomplete the mini blends book by writing in the blends. Then, cut out and staple the book together. Finally, record answers and create new sentences using the record worksheet included.
