How to teach Skip Counting
Using the Lemonade Tycoon Counting by Fives Activity, students skip count by fives by fill in the missing numbers in a pattern.
Skip counting by fives is an important skill for students to know when counting coins or telling time.This activity gives students multiple patterns with missing numbers.
Tycoons walk around the room to find ten lemonade cards. Each glass of lemonade costs 5 cents. Count by 5’s to calculate how many cents the lemonade card is worth and write it on the recording sheet.
