Description
Learning to form each letter correctly is one of the first big steps toward reading and writing, and this letter H tracing worksheet gives kindergarten students plenty of guided practice with both the capital H and the lowercase h. Children trace dotted letters on three-line handwriting guides, then write the letter on their own right beside each model, so every stroke is practiced and then repeated.
About This Worksheet
In Part A, students trace eight dotted capital H letters and write a capital H next to each one, practicing two tall lines and a crossbar. In Part B, they do the same with the lowercase h, noticing how its tall stem and small hump differ from the capital. In Part C, they look at three colorful pictures that begin with the /h/ sound, a hat, a helmet, and a hose, and trace the word under each picture. This preschool alphabet worksheet is a great fit for morning work, literacy centers, handwriting practice, or homework, and the answer key shows every letter and word completed.
