How to teach Numbers
UsingPopcorn Tens Game Activity, students create equations and sorts number cards in order to build their number sense skills.
Being able to recognize relationships between numbers will help your students as they do mental math and problem solve. This activity will help your students to look for relationships between number up to 100.
Cut out the popcorn bags. Have students place the bags in order counting by tens. Mix and match with other decade sets to play other games.

Use this Numbers Activity as an additional resource for your students.
Introduce this activity by writing the numbers 25 and 13 on the board. Next, ask students what they know about these numbers. Students can share that the numbers are both odd, the sum is 38, etc. Then, students complete activity independently or with a partner. Finally, students share their noticings with the class.
