Rewriting Capitalization Worksheet asks 2nd grade students to do the one thing that proves they really know the rule: read a sentence written entirely in lower case, then write the whole sentence out again with every capital letter in its right place. Four sentences cover the capitals children meet every day — the first word of a sentence, the pronoun I, a person’s name, a day of the week, a month, and the name of a place. A worked example sits at the top of the page so a child can see exactly what a finished answer looks like before starting.
