Use this Author’s Purpose Activity as an additional resource for your students.
Introduce this lesson by writing the point of view sentences on the board. Examples could be “I was so scared to walk into the Haunted House.” and “Tim was so scared to walk into the Haunted House.” Next,students share the differences between the two sentences.Then, students complete activity individually or with a partner. Finally, students share about the books that they read. Once finished, students continue their practice using the provided worksheet.
