How to teach Graphing

Using this Sort Count Graph Activity, students count the amount of fruits and vegetables to record them on a graph.

In this activity, students will practice collecting data and recording data on a graph. This activity can be done in as a full class, math centers, in partners or individually.

First, sort your cards into three categories- pumpkins, apples and grapes. Then, count how many of each you have. Finally, record your totals on your graph! Continue your practice by reading a graph about balloons and cupcakes!
