How to teach Research
Using Think and Respond Activity, students recall information from experiences or gather information from provided sources to answer a question.
Your students already know a lot of information on topics that you have learned in school. This activity will help them to build on their knowledge through research.
Choose an Experience Card. Recall information about the topic. Then, answer the questions to begin writing more about the topic.

Use these Research Notes Worksheets as an additional resource for your students.
Introduce this activity by students asking what they know on a specific topic. Next, students share details that they on that topic. Then, distribute the activity materials so students can begin their writing. Once finished using the experience cards, students can write more about each topic. Finally, students can share their writing through a gallery walk or other presentation.
