Use this Don’t Wake the Librarian Sorting Book Genre Activity as an additional resource for your students.
Introduce this activity by asking students to share the books that they have read this year. Create a list of books on an anchor chart that your class has read this year. Then, students complete the activity independently or with a partner. Finally, students share about the books that they have read. Once finished, have new fictional books for students to sample and read together.
