Use this Classifying Hunt Worksheet as an additional resource for your students.
Introduce this worksheet by creating a category called “Red”. Next, ask students to find objects around the classroom that fit in that category. Be sure to push students to explain why they chose that object to go in that category. Then, students complete the worksheet independently or with a partner. Finally, students to add new objects to the worksheet’s categories. Once finished, challenge students to find similarities between each item in the group.
