About this resource

Description

It’s the Funzyland Sillybration Parade, and the sky is full of alphabet balloons! In the Alphabet Game, preschool and kindergarten kids help Funzy bring every letter home, from A to Z. For each letter, Funzy shows the big letter in the middle of the screen and says “This is the big letter B,” then kids pop the balloon that shows the big letter B. Then they do the same for the little letter. Each popped letter floats down to its flag on the parade bunting, and the Funzy friend who goes with that letter pops up to cheer it home. Playing the alphabet game again and again helps little learners recognize every uppercase and lowercase letter and tell look-alike letters apart.

This abc game has three rounds. First kids find all 26 big letters and all 26 little letters, one letter at a time, among look-alikes like b, d, p and q. Every miss gets a kind shape tip, like “Little b has a tall line, and one bump at the bottom.” Then Bomzy mixes up all the big letters, and kids tap them back in ABC order, three letters at a time. Last, the giggly little Bomzies mix up the little letters, and kids pop them back in order, from a to z. Funzy reads every direction out loud and names each letter as it comes home.

Kids build streaks of 5, 10, 15 and more in a Row (a new streak every round), chase a High Score and go for a Perfect Game. A golden flag can sparkle once a round. At the end, kids earn up to five stars, and Funzy and all seven of his Funzy friends wave from the parade.
