Your students need lots of practice solving word problems. This activity gives your students lots of practice with addition and subtraction problems.
Students take turns answering word problem cards using the Draw it! for support. For a correct answer, students get to play an X or O on the Tic-Tac-Toe board. Students use addition and subtraction to solve one- and two-step word problems and plug in letters to find the answer to the joke “What do you call a grouchy cow?”
