How to teach Beginning Consonants
Using the Blends Activity, students match the blend, word and picture card to build their beginning blend fluency.
Being able to identify the beginning blends helps students read and write words. This activity gives them practice using common words that they will encounter in their reading.
Studentssort the Picture, Word, and Blend cards in the correct piles. Record answers on the answer sheet included.
