The months of the year are proper nouns, which means every one of them starts with a capital letter, every single time it is written. That rule is easy to say and surprisingly easy to forget, because children meet the months in speech long before they meet them on paper. This Capital Letters Months List Worksheet puts the rule and the calendar order together in one task, so a second grader practices both at once instead of choosing between them.
The worksheet prints on two pages. Page one holds a word box with all twelve months printed in lower case and out of order, then twelve numbered writing lines in two roomy columns. Students copy the months into calendar order, adding the capital letter that the word box left off. Page two is the answer key.
