Place value is the idea that a digit’s worth depends on where it sits inside a number, and this converting four digit place value worksheet gives third graders steady practice with numbers all the way to the thousands. Once students can look at 3,748 and say that the 7 stands for 700, they are ready to round, compare, add, and subtract larger numbers with confidence.
