How to teach Opposites
Using this Full and Empty Opposites Activity, students race their partner to the finish line as you identify whether an object is full or empty.
Grab your friends and race to the finish line as you identify whether an object is full or empty.This activity gives students your students practice with the opposites full and empty.
Select a car to be your playing piece and place it on the starting line. Shuffle all picture cards and place on the game board. The goal of the game is to be the first player to reach the finish line with a “full” tank of gas. Pick up a picture card and identify if the picture shows something is full or empty. If it is full, move ahead two spaces. If it is empty, move backwards one space. After moving your piece, put the card in the Discard Pile and the next player goes. Take turns until one player has reached the finish line! If cards run out, shuffle the cards from the Discard Pile and reuse them.
